About Akreates
Akreates is a Beirut-based architectural consultancy offering a comprehensive range of services in architecture, design, and urban development. Originally founded in 1994 as IAK – Imad Aboul Khoudoud Architects, the firm has spent over 25 years delivering exceptional architectural solutions throughout Lebanon and the MENA region. Today, Akreates represents a renewed vision—a dynamic evolution of the original practice, committed to innovation, sustainability, and international reach.

Imad Aboul Khoudoud is a highly experienced architect and the founder of Akreates – Imad Aboul Khoudoud Architectural Consultancy, an independent practice he established in 1994 in Beirut, Lebanon. With over 35 years of professional expertise and a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Beirut Arab University, Imad has built a distinguished career grounded in design excellence, technical precision, and a deep understanding of architectural practice. Coming from a generation trained in the fundamentals of hand-drawn architecture, Imad has seamlessly embraced the evolution of digital design technologies. His ability to adapt and grow with the industry has allowed him to master modern tools such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Photoshop—bridging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation. Through Akreates, he has led a wide spectrum of projects, from large-scale master planning to high-end residential and interior design, offering services in architectural design, engineering coordination, planning, detailing, and on-site supervision.
Afif Aboul Khoudoud brings over 14 years of experience in leading multifaceted architectural and engineering projects, with a specialized focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies. His career is marked by a proven ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, manage complex workflows, and consistently deliver projects on time, within budget, and beyond client expectations. Afif’s expertise in Revit and Navisworks Manage has been instrumental in streamlining design processes, enabling accurate clash detection, and enhancing collaboration across all project stakeholders. His application of BIM technologies has resulted in significant efficiency gains, cost savings, and improved project outcomes—demonstrating his capability to translate digital strategies into tangible value. Known for his strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, Afif works seamlessly with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution. Passionate about innovation, he remains committed to driving forward-thinking design and construction practices through the strategic use of technology.
Bahaa Aboul Khoudoud | Architectural Consultant | University Lecturer | Sustainable Real Estate | Retail & Real Estate Strategy | Bahaa Aboul Khoudoud is an accomplished architectural consultant, university lecturer, and entrepreneur with a strong academic background in architecture, including a degree from Oxford. He has built a diverse career, with experience at Drees & Sommer, RBM, and his own consultancy. Bahaa specializes in sustainable real estate management, architectural strategies, and retail property. He has been recognized for his innovative designs, winning several architectural competitions and prizes throughout his career. With a focus on the intersection of technology, cost, and organization, Bahaa creates future-proof, sustainable real estate solutions.
